Meaning of ARI LEDs colors and patterns#

There are three different LED displays in ARI, located on the ears, the microphone (on the front of the robot) and in the back.

Ears#

Both ears have the same behaviour and the ARI’s ear LEDs have two default meanings:

  1. If they are blinking yellow and red, means that the battery is equal or lower than 20%, it’s more detailed in How-to: How to know battery life / charging.

  2. If they are blinking blue and red, means that there is an error on the engines.

Back LEDs#

The back’s LEDs have three default meaning:

  1. If they are blinking between yellow and red, means that the battery is equal or lower than 20%.

  2. If they are blinking between blue and red, means that there is a error on the engines.

  3. If ARI is on the dock station, back LEDs show the actual state of charge.

The first two meanings are the same as the Ears ones.

Microphone LEDs#

The microphone LEDs do not turn on by default.

You can however change the LEDs colors youself: see Tutorial: Creating expressions with LEDs.
