TIAGo unboxing#

This section explains how to unbox TIAGo safely.
Flightcase handling#
TIAGo is shipped in a flightcase shown in figure:
The flightcase MUST always be transported vertically to ensure the robotβs safety. In order to move the flightcase, pull the handle on the back, as shown in figure below. To place the flightcase in a given location, use one of your feet to help you carefully set the flightcase in an upright position.
Unboxing#
Open the door of the crate, see figure a), and unfold the ramp as shown in figure b). Remove the foam wedges holding the mobile base as shown in figure below c). Finally, pull out TIAGo from the upper part of its torso back and, if necessary, from the bottom part of the shoulder, as shown in figure d). Do not pull out the robot from any part of the mobile base cover as damages could be caused to you or to the robot.

Finally, remove the robot from the crate by pulling on the upper part of its back and, if necessary, from its shoulders, as shown in figure (4). Do not pull on any part of the mobile base cover, as it could cause damages to you or the robot.
Whatβs in the box#
The TIAGo flightcase will contain the following items:
the TIAGo robot
a battery charger and its cable plug
a gamepad
USB flash drive with a recovery ISO (if you need to reinstall your robot)
a docking station (optional)
